Fake Facebook Marketplace Listings

Scammers post too-good-to-be-true listings for cars, electronics, and furniture. When you "buy," they send a fake Zelle or Venmo overpayment and ask you to send the difference back then reverse the original payment.

🛡 Never accept overpayments. If a buyer sends more than the asking price and asks for a refund, it's a scam.

IRS & Social Security Impersonation Calls

Callers claim your SSN has been "suspended" or you owe back taxes. They demand immediate payment via gift cards, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency. Nassau County PD has received multiple reports this month.

🛡 The IRS never calls demanding immediate payment. Hang up and call the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040.

Fake USPS & FedEx Delivery Texts

Text messages claiming your package is "held" and requires a $2–$3 redelivery fee. The link looks official but steals your credit card information. Particularly active during online shopping seasons.

Microsoft Tech Support Pop-Ups

A browser pop-up (sometimes with a loud alarm sound) claims your computer is infected and tells you to call a number. The "technician" then asks for remote access to your machine and payment to "fix" a nonexistent problem.

🛡 Close the browser tab immediately. Microsoft never contacts you this way. Call us if you're unsure.

Hi, I'm Mike.

I'm a cybersecurity professional and lifelong Long Island resident. After years watching my own family members nearly fall for scams, and being the FAQ forum for any/all tech questions.

The problem isn't that people are careless. It's that no one ever sat down with them, face to face, in plain English, and explained what to watch out for. Technology has grown and adapted but education never changed.

We serve all Suffolk Counties (as of now). If you're unsure whether we cover your area, just call or text us - we'll let you know right away and are happy to refer you if needed.

Nope, and that's exactly the point. We built CS² for people who aren't tech experts. We explain everything in plain English, go at your pace, and don't leave until you feel comfortable and confident. No judgment, ever.

Most sessions run 2–3 hours depending on the number of devices and accounts in your household. We'll give you a time estimate after your free consultation call once we understand your setup.

Not at all, the Setup Session is completely standalone. The membership is for families who want ongoing access to someone they can text when something looks off. Many clients do the session first, then decide later whether to add membership. There's no pressure either way.

We work with iPhones, Android phones, Windows and Mac laptops and desktops, tablets, and home routers. We can also help with smart home devices (Ring cameras, Alexa, smart TVs) and setting up guest Wi-Fi networks for those devices. If there is anything we don't know, we will be sure to understand it for you!
